Soccer Club del Sol (SC del Sol) and Banat Soccer Club Confirm Agreement

May 2, 2014, Phoenix, Arizona --- SC del Sol and Banat Soccer Club have reached an agreement that will co-brand Banat Soccer Club teams as "SC del Sol Banat." The agreement does not constitute a merger as Banat Soccer Club will remain an independent business organization and will remain in its present location. The branding affiliation with SC del Sol will provide players and coaches unique access to player development opportunities, coaching education and curriculum. SC del Sol recently signed an agreement with uniform supplier Puma, and "SC del Sol Banat" players will wear the new Puma kits. The current Banat fee structure, practice/match locations and coaching staff will remain the same. "SC del Sol Banat” players will participate with their current teams in state and regional competitions, but will now also be available for selection in SC del Sol’s national programs, which include Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), National Premier League (NPL), and Western College Development Association (WCDA). "This is a turning point for soccer player development in the west valley and we are excited to be involved with an organization like SC del Sol that has a national presence," said Alan Watson, SC del Sol Banat’s Director of Coaching. "Our players will now be in line to participate in every high level competition in the nation. SC del Sol is the only club in Arizona that participates in the ECNL, NPL and WCDA."

Banat 96Gs Roll On As Every Player Looks Forward to College Soccer

The Banat 96 Girls Gold, one of the most successful teams in the club's history and one of the most consistent teams in their generation, remain undefeated in the 2014 Arizona State Championships. Since the team's inception, the Banat 96 Girls have been semifinalists virtually ever year, and finished as runners-up twice. And in their final campaign, they reached the semi-finals yet again with wins over San Tan and Flagstaff and earning a draw versus current champions TSA. The team will play AZ Arsenal in a semi-final match this Saturday at 11am in Casa Grande. All 16 of the current Banat 96 girls roster will be headed off to play college soccer -- a tremendous achievement for the team. The girls hope to end their youth soccer careers with the only prize that have ever eluded them -- State Cup
